I am someone who appreciates the little things. I’d take a new memory over an Ipad. Today, I was asked why that is. At first, I didn’t know how to answer because, at the time, my logic made no sense. Why would a person take something worth as little as $5 over something worth $700? After coming home and thinking about it for a bit I realized my reason. There are a lot materialistic things that have a high value, but I don’t think that there is anything more valuable than memories. Memories cannot be borrowed nor bought. They cannot be altered nor copied. They are priceless and allow you to reminiscent in them for the rest of your life. Not to mention, they make great stories. On the other hand, Ipads are not unique. There are many of them and you can buy a new one anytime you want. They will break, but you won’t care because a new one can always replace it. I guess that an IPad will bring you entertainment, but the presence of my friends bring me enough entertainment.
